Patrick

Patrick is a MAK Halliday medallist and Senior Lecturer. He has over 11 years’ extensive teaching experience in Australia, Canada and China at prestigious universities, institutes and language schools. He holds TEM-8, CELTA, NAATI Professional Translator and Interpreter certificates; a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; a Master of Applied Linguistics; and a Master of Interpreting and Translation. He has achieved an overall band score of 8.5 in IELTS and 90 for all 10 communicative and enabling skills in PTE. He was an A-Level Judge of the “FLTRP Cup” National English Debating Competition in China in 2008 and 2009, and has also been a Simultaneous Interpreter and Community Translator since 2008. At CCTV International in 2006 he spoke to domestic and international audiences.

Janet

Janet has seven years of teaching experience in English as a Second Language courses. She holds a Graduate Diploma of Professional Writing and a Master of Commerce. She is also a member of the Institute of Professional Editors. She holds an overall IELTS band score of 8.5, with 8.5 for both Speaking and Writing, and 90 for all 10 communicative and enabling skills in PTE. She is an accomplished author whose published works include On the Edge of Consciousness and The Trouble with Expectations. She was also the co-editor of Dreaminglines, a publication of Aboriginal poetry.

Yolanda

Yolanda has eight years of experience in English language teaching as well as translation and interpreting teaching and practice. She has a degree in Law and another degree in Translation and Interpretation. She holds NAATI certificates, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, an IELTS band score of 8 overall with 8.5 for Speaking and 9 for Listening. In the past nine years, she worked for Monash University, the Government of South Australia, the Translation Institute, and a local headhunting company. She has been actively engaged in community interpretation and translation, and she also went to Africa to work as an interpreter in 2017.

Andrew

Andrew has been teaching English for over 15 years. He has an overall IELTS band score of 8.5. He holds a Bachelor (Hons.) in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), a Bachelor (Hons.) in Communication and Public Relations, and a Certificate IV in Teaching and Assessment. Currently he is teaching English Linguistics at Flinders University. In the past seven years, he has worked as an OET interlocutor at Flinders University and as a teacher at TAFE SA and IELI Flinders. He has extensive experience in teaching speaking, writing and editing skills, as well as IELTS, PTE and OET exam preparation courses to international students in Australia.

Stephanie

Stephanie has rich experience in English language tutoring and teaching Chinese to non-native speakers. She has a Bachelor of Finance from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Accounting from Flinders University with a Golden Key membership. She studied Biomedical Engineering at the City University of New York, U.S., before coming to Australia. She holds a NAATI certificate and has a score of 90 for PTE. As a well-versed translator and interpreter, she is also responsible for the translation of various marketing materials and for the interpretation at various expositions in multi-national corporations.
